Work experience at Cleland

Secondary Students


The work experience program at Cleland Wildlife Park is full for 2025. Thank you for your interest in this program.

The work experience placement is made up of a 4 day program from Monday to Thursday.

It covers 4 business sectors in the park, Animal Management, Koala Management, Commercial Services and Education Services.

The program has a focus on animal husbandry including cleaning, maintaining enclosures and preparing diets for a variety of Australian species. Students also have the opportunity to work with Commercial Services to learn about Cleland as a business and in Education Services to observe Engage, Learn,Conserve in action.

Please note: Duties are mostly outside and are undertaken regardless of the weather conditions.

Placements are taken through the school term only.
