New Koala Loft

We’re excited to announce that our new Koala Loft will open in autumn 2025!

Our priority is the wellbeing of koalas, and this world-class facility has been carefully designed with temperature control to guarantee year-round koala encounters in a comfortable setting.

The Koala Loft will serve as an educational hub, providing visitors with the opportunity to engage with koalas and learn about the importance of conservation from our koala handlers.

Although public koala holds will be unavailable during the upgrade, did you know that you can still get up close and personal with our koalas? Our Koala Close-up encounter gives you the opportunity to briefly meet and greet one of our furry residents and feel their soft fur. This is free and no bookings are necessary.

If you’re looking for something more intimate why not book into our Meet a Koala experience where you will get some one-on-one time with a koala and its keeper, hearing about the koala you are meeting and the role that Cleland Wildlife Park is playing in koala conservation.

You could also choose to join us on our Behind the Scenes Koala Experience which is a unique experience that allows you to enter one of our koala enclosures and learn about what goes into caring for koalas.

Alternatively, our private koala experiences are operating, or you can book in for one of our other animal encounters or attend an educational talk by one of our wildlife keepers.
